  • Exclusive hire of the Estate from 08:00 Saturday until 13:00 Sunday
  • Gamekeepers Cottage for the married couple on the night of the wedding
  • Exclusive use with capacity to host 100 day guests, with a further 30 evening guests (130 in total) to join you for the day’s celebrations
  • Characterful spaces for both parties to get ready onsite prior to the wedding celebrations
  • Wedding Feast catering with our partners Vanilla in AllSeasons (at an additional cost)
  • Minibus transfers included to/from Hayfield village for all non-resident guests on the wedding day
  • Options for extended stays or check-outs
  • A choice of indoor and outdoor licensed wedding ceremony spaces – the Solstice Tower, The Medieval Great Hall
  • Medieval Great Hall dating from 1430. Fireplaces at either end, bespoke candelabra flower hoops, stained glass windows. Tower music system for background music. Ceremony table, banqueting tables and banqueting chairs. Capacity for 100 ceremony, 130 dancing. Lighting on the Minstrels Gallery and Great Hall and Courtyard. Marriage Ceremonies in England

Legal Ceremonies

Upper House is a venue licensed to hold legal marriages, same sex marriages and civil partnerships. You will need to book the venue in advance of applying for a legal marriage ceremony. Local Government Registrars will perform the ceremony at Upper House. You can email them (highpeak.registrars@derbyshire.gov.uk) to request their availability for the date you prefer. Once the date is booked, you will need to ensure that any visas and documents you will require for a legal marriage in the UK are in place.

Personal Ceremonies

Upper House can also source a suitable personal celebrant for a non-legal marriage ceremony. Translators and translation services can also be sourced, and payment for any such services can be met with the provider.
